My room!

My room has always been really messy and there has always been stuff EVERYWHERE. Of course that's a little annoying, but now it's three and a half years since I lived at home more than two weeks during christmas break. But every summer vacation I have brought stuff from my high school home, and these boxes ended up in one corner, and the things I actually unpacked has just been filling up the shelves.

So one of my goals while being at home these two months now was to clean up my room. And I'm finally done!! I have thrown away lots of old stuff (like letters from 1997!!) and have filled our attic with boxes. It's such a wonderful feeling being done with this; no boxes anywhere, and some actual room in the bookshelf.

I took some photos before I started because I wanted to show you what my room looked like, but it looks like I've somehow deleted them, so I'm just going to show you how my room looks now.

My plan now is to refurnish my room. (I just got that word out of the dictionary so I'm sorry if it's the wrong one :P) My bed (and the nightstand and table (with the mirrors) that matches it) is something that was given to my mum and dad from my dad's aunt and uncle, and I love it and am so happy they allowed me to have it in my room. But the thing is, there is more to the set. There is actually two beds and two nightstands. So my plan is to have a twinbed in here. That means I will probably have to get rid of the table in front of the window (the one with my computer on it in the pictures), but that's okay with me. I just love refurnishing, and i really want to change my room. If I get a twinbed in here my parents can use it as a guest room when I'm not here too.

So that's the next step! Yesterday I was measuring the whole room, the bed, the night stand, and trying to find out how my room would look with two beds. I think it will look okay if I get another bed in here and move things around a little. :) At least it will be fun to try! :D
